AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ON GHOULS, GHOULS, GHOULS

When M.J. Holliday and the crew of her cable TV show, Ghoul Getters, venture to the haunted ruins of Dunlow Castle in Ireland, drawn by the legend of hidden treasure, they hope the road will rise up to meet them, that the wind will always be at their backs-and that the resident phantom won't push them off a cliff. If they treasure their lives, M.J. and her ghost busters need to get the drop on the menacing phantom

In this episode of Ghoul Getters, MJ Holiday and team travel to Ireland to face down the most malevolent demon yet and in search of real treasure! Stay tuned for the exciting review by Paranormaly Yours!

MJ was duped into doing an investigation on a haunted castle in Ireland by her producer Gopher with gold bulian. Little did MJ know that the spirit haunting the castle wasn't your ordinary ghost, in fact, it was the mother of all hell broken loose! As soon as the team arrives to the castle, Gopher goes missing, and they have their first encounter with the demon. Everyone gets out by the skin of their teeth and immediately go into recon mode. Naturally the first thing they do is go to the local authorities for help, but to no avail. They have very specific rules about the castle and it's visitors, and that is enter at your own risk. The police will not enter the grounds.....PERIOD. So, left faced with their own devices, MJ and her crew are on the hunt.

Lets start with the cluster fuck that is MJ's team. Heath, who is a medium like MJ, and Gilley her best friend and IT guy. Heath is wonderful, patient, understanding and helpful, Gilley not so much. It amazes me that MJ has been able to not only get jobs ghost busting, but complete them without getting killed due to Gilley's unfortunate narcissistic personalty. He is so thoughtless and self centered that he always manages to make things way harder for everyone else than they should be. Gopher, her producer, he is so greedy and out for numero uno, (just as bad as Gilley at times) that he intentionally puts MJ and Heath in harms way to get the “money shot” for the show. The fact that he is the one to go missing serves as instant karma, and makes me feel somewhat better. Overall it was a poorly planned out trip and investigation, and it wasn't until MJ took charge of the situation that things started happening. Too bad MJ and Gilley didn't have the money themselves to do their own show!

This is the best Paranormal Mystery Series, but their was just something about this case that bugged me enough to only give it 3 Fangs. MJ is a very strong medium, with a heart full of compassion. Her best friend Gilley keeps her real, grounded, and reminds me of her tragic past, where she comes from. Heath is just adorable. I love his character, and role in all this and I hope he takes that step and snatches MJ up before it's too late!

Narrator Review
Eileen Stevens narrates for Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls. I have not had the pleasure of listening to Eileen before, so this was a fresh new experience for me. Up until this book, I have been reading them, so I had my own ideals of how each character's voice was. This may have been a mistake, I'm not sure yet. I thought Eileen for MJ was ok, but for Gilley she was way off. During the book, it seemed to me at times that Eileen changed Gilley's voice, it was distinct enough for me to notice, and not like it at all! I thought she did a pretty good job with the Irish accents, much better than she had for the Americans! I'm still on the fence about Eileen for this gig. Like I said, I had envisioned these characters in my head already from the four previous books. I will give her another chance, but for now I give Eileen Stevens 3 Fangs.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: THE CURSE OF TENTH GRAVE

Patrol Log:  0907142016

As a Part-time PI and full time grim reaper, Charley Davidson has asked a lot of questions throughout her life: Why can I see dead people? Who is the hot supernatural entity following me? How do I get gum out of my sister’s hair before she wakes up? But, “How do I trap not one malevolent god, but three?” was never among them. Until now. And since those gods are on earth to kill her daughter, she has little choice but to track them down, trap them, and cast them from this dimension.

A week after returning from New York, Charlie and Reyes have drifted apart. Charlie can no longer feel Reye's emotions no more than a human can, and this bugs the you know what out of her! Reyes is keeping tight lipped and distant from Charlie. What the hell is going on!

Charlie is returning from her amnesia, losing her father, and learning some serious secrets! Her number one goal is to get her daughter back. Come hell or high water, Charlie will reunite with her daughter, and kill anyone who stands in her way. As the story goes, and there is always one, there are three Gods on the loose out to kill B.E.P., (Reyes & Charlie's daughter) and Charlie is the only one equipped to take them down, since she has the God Glass and all... Oh yay, the God Glass! It's this really pretty pendant that is the portal to a hell'ish universe. The only way to trap a God in it is by another God, and their blood with that Gods true name spoken. But Reyes doesn't know she has it, or the other secrets she is holding near and dear. In true Charlie Davidson style, she is also trying to help find a missing woman to clear her innocent boyfriend, find out what crawled up Reye's beautiful ass, dodge some wannabe ghost hunters, and save the world... again.

I just ate the worst pumpkin pie, and the after taste is still lingering....yuck! The more books I read in this series, the more I fall deeper and deeper into the story. I love Charlie's world, with Lucifer, hell hounds and all! This dramatic and drawn out love story is a one of a kind thrill ride that I never want to end. The loss Charlie feels for BEP is real, and the love she has for Reyes is true and awe inspiring for me. I dread the day this adventure ends, but anxiously await when I meet the real hero of this story, Darynda Jones.

Narrator Review
Lorelei King returns as the voice of Charlie Davidson. Lorelei is what others should strive to become, the most amazing audio narrator ever! I love her voice, her quick retorts as she reads, and her love for Darynda Jones. At the end of the book was a surprise! An interview between Lorelei and Darynda! Thanks for the wonderful experience Lorelei!

BOOK REVIEW: SAVING MERCY

Ryan thought he was on the fast track to his dream life. That is, until he woke up without a pulse. Realizing he has no way to leave the space where he took his last breath, he fears he is destined to spend eternity within the confines of his dreary apartment walls.

Mercy is certain she has left the clairvoyant tendencies of her bloodline behind. However, when she arrives at her new apartment in blustery Chicago, she is shocked to find that the previous tenant, Ryan, has stayed behind.

As their unique friendship blossoms, Ryan begins to think he's been left behind to act as Mercy's protector, but she doesn't seem to be the kind of woman who wants to be protected.
Meanwhile, Mercy is convinced it's her job to help Ryan cross over, but as she grows to know him, she's not entirely sure she's selfless enough to let him go.

As they struggle through the complexities of their relationship, they realize that the collision of their worlds isn't just coincidence. It's fate.

Mercy Hunter just graduated High School and has made a major decision to move to Chicago on her own. Not without her hippie parents blessing, Mercy leaves home to live a “normal” life. She has never been one for the hippie lifestyle her parents forced upon her and her brother Lyric, so Mercy is off on her own journey to discover what the corporate world is really about. Will Mercy make it in the Windy City?

Mercy was a very unusual child, wanting or needing structure in her life. Structure her parent's could not provide for her, but thought they had. When Mercy arrives in Chicago, she is held up at her friend Drew's place until she finds a job and her own apartment. Drew sets up the job for her, where he works, and she falls ass backwards into an apartment in Chinatown. Having a very open mind, and spiritual background, Mercy immediately feels a disturbance in her new apartment. That disturbance is Ryan's ghost, and it all goes to hell in a hen basket from there!

Ryan's story was short, but to the point and sad. When Mercy meets Ryan, it was fate, a set up for the future that is to be. During the friendship and falling in love bond these two crazy kids went through, we the reader where nudged in the back of our mind that this was for a reason, but I didn't know what that reason was. I couldn't help but ask why, why now? Mercy is alive and Ryan is not. Why have them fall in love if they can never be together. Knowing that this union couldn't exist, I was still intrigued. The story was so well written and had an on going steady pace that just sucked you in. In the end, I was shocked and teary eyed. The ending was so unexpected, just as the love story with Ryan and Mercy. That ending my friends was the last thread that was holding me back from loving this book! If you believe in life after death, and love romance with a little paranormal, than this book is right up your alley!
